SHE put a ring on it!

Remember way back when, when I showed you the ring options Josh liked? (If you don't remember, click here.) Well, when I priced them out with our jeweler, I freaked out. They cost about three times the upper end of my budget for Josh's ring. (I guess I was completely out of the loop for what wedding bands cost? Or maybe my jeweler was really expensive? I'm not sure.) I told him that I would definitely buy the ring he wanted, and I would somehow make it work. He bought my ring with cash that he had saved for months, and I felt bad knowing I may not be able to get him the ring he wanted.

But Josh is much more practical than I am. He said it was stupid for me to spend that much money on his ring. We each had a budget in mind, and we hadn't even discussed it, but we were on the same page. He thought the price was ridiculous, too. So, he was thinking about getting a plain-jane band that was more affordable. I hated this idea because Josh is an architect - he  has a very geometric-modern style, and I thought his wedding band should reflect that.

So, long story short, I turned to my favorite place to buy things: Etsy. There, I found seller havalazar and their assortment of solid gold wedding bands with designs I know Josh would love.

So I made a purchase. And for the record, it was WAY under my budget! Josh loves it, and I feel a lot better knowing he has a band that reflects a bit of his style.
